Non-NHS Services
Some services provided are not covered under our contract with the NHS and therefore attract charges. Examples include the following:
- Medicals for pre-employment, sports and driving requirements (HGV, PSV etc.)
- Insurance claim forms
- Private prescriptions (£10 fee)
- Prescriptions for taking medication abroad
- Private sick notes
- Vaccination certificates

Reports
- Straightforward certificates of fact (eg private sick notes, insurance forms, holiday cancellation forms) – from £15.00
- More complex certificates (eg firearm/shotgun certificates) – from £80.00
- GP reports requiring opinion – £175 per hour (or part of, depending on time taken)
Medical Examinations
- HGV, PSV, TAXI – from £100.00
- Insurance, pre-employment examinations – from £150.00
Non-medical services (which do not have to be provided by your GP)
- Statements of fact – from £15.00
- Witnessing passport applications – GPs do not provide this service
- Signing of photocard driving licence – GPs do not provide this service
Other
- Some travel vaccinations are non-NHS and a fee will be charged (eg Rabies, Japanese Encephalitis). This will be discussed by the nurse at your appointment.
- Under the new General Data Protection Regulations, everyone can access their medical records. No charge will be made for the first request, however a charge may be made for subsequent requests. Records MUST be collected.
