Please be advised that the surgery is closed on bank holidays. If you need medical attention please dial 999 in an emergency, or 111 for medical treatment that cannot wait until the surgery is open again.

We do have Darwin Health Ltd Extended Access appointments running at Marden Medical Practice. You can book into these appointments by ringing the practice.

 Whilst we have the eConsult facility on our website please be advised that the response time is 48 working hours. eConsult is only available during working practice hours e.g. not evenings or weekends. If you need medical attention “out of hours” then please call 111. Thank you.

Please consider using these services before visiting Accident and Emergency Department -

  •  contact NHS 111 on 111
  • attend Walk In centre at Royal Shrewsbury Hospital between 8 am and 8 pm.

The surgery closes for 3 afternoons a year for protected learning sessions.  On these occasions there will be a message on our telephone system advising patients of contact telephone numbers.  If you cannot wait until we re-open, please telephone NHS Direct on 111.

We have an open list and welcome requests for registration from patients living in or moving to the practice area.  Please ask at reception for details of the area we cover.

You can register by bringing along your NHS medical card or completing a form available from reception.You will need to bring with you some form of ID (for example driving licence, passport) when you register.  We will make a note on your records if you prefer to see a particular doctor or nurse.

Change of Personal Details

If you change name, address or telephone number, please let our receptionists know by calling or writing to us. If you move outside the practice area you may need to find a doctor in your new area. There are instructions on what to do when you move to a new area on the back of your NHS medical card.

You may print off a registration form, fill it out and bring it in with you on your first visit to the practice.

DURING THE CORONAVIRUS PANDEMIC WE WOULD ASK THAT, IF POSSIBLE, YOU COMPLETE THE FORMS THAT ARE AVAILABLE UNDER THE 'REGISTERING ONLINE' TAB AS THESE CAN BE COMPLETED AND RETURNED ONLINE WITHOUT NEEDING TO PRINT THE FORMS.
